Travelling
to Edinburgh by train. Get off the train at Edinburgh
Haymarket Station if possible. Turn left out of the station. Walk
about six hundred yards and you will find us on the left hand side,
immediately before a small church. Taxi from Edinburgh Haymarket Station

If you arrive at
Edinburgh Waverley Station, go to Princes Street, less than a
minutes walk away, where you can get bus no. 12, 26 or 31, direct to The Edinburgh Lodge. Ask for West Coates. The fare is £1.00. Have the correct change!! Sit on
the right. When you see the large palace like building on your right, ring the
bell. The bus will stop by the hotel. Taxi from Edinburgh Waverley station
approximately £5-£6
Travelling to
Edinburgh by air. Taxis from Edinburgh airport cost
around £15-£18 and take about ten to fifteen minutes.
An express bus, No.
100, from Edinburgh Airport, costs £5 for an open return. The bus will drop you off at
West Coates, almost directly opposite the hotel.)
From Glasgow
Airport or Prestwick Airport come out of the airport, turn left onto
the M8 to Edinburgh.
Do not
follow the signs to Edinburgh city centre, follow the signs to Edinburgh
Airport. Pass Edinburgh Airport on your left and now follow the signs towards
the city centre. You are on the A8 Corstorphine Road, heading directly for
Edinburgh city centre and The Edinburgh Lodge.
Approximately six miles
past the airport you will pass a large BMW showroom on your right, continuing
past this you will go under a small bridge. A few yards after the bridge you
will see a small church on your right. We are immediately next to that church.
